SUMMARY:Day trip on the Dommel River
DESCRIPTION:Canoeing on the Dommel is always a treat. The winding river meanders between Neerpelt and Valkenswaard through forests and meadows. You pass through two nature reserves\, Hageven and Malpie and you have to be very unlucky not to spot Kingfishers. Especially during the first part of the trip\, they find a home in the elevated river banks. Further on you will come across the infrastructure work of beavers who have been living here for several years now. \nThe Dommel is an ideal river to practice your paddling skills. The constant meandering and the light current keep you alert. While paddling\, the guide will pay attention to the ins and outs of preparing and making canoe trips. DESCRIPTION:The Dender used to be one of the most polluted rivers of Belgium but that has been reversed in recent years and now the water quality is back up to standard. It has improved favorably and it has turn back into a rich fishing water. On summer days you can see dozens of carp warming up just beyond the water surface. Nature\, towns\, villages and industry alternate. Mostly it’s very quiet on the water\, but the towpath along the banks is eagerly used by cyclists and cycling tourists. Canoeing on the Dender is accessible to all paddlers. \nWhile exploring the river by canoe\, one of our skilled guides will introduce you to the art of canoe tripping. SUMMARY:Kringelfieber
DESCRIPTION:Kringelfieber is the name of the annual meeting for all paddlers interested in American Freestyle and/or Canadian Style Paddling open canoes. It was initiated in 2006 by Silke Reitner and meanwhile has become the largest annual Freestyle canoe meeting of Europe. Initially just a small meeting of likeminded Style paddlers\, the festival has now grown to a mature event attracting not only the adept but also many newcomers to Style Paddling. They search information about those uncommon paddling disciplines and maybe want to try their first strokes on the water. \nThe aim of Kringelfieber is to meet in a pleasant and open atmosphere\, paddle together and learn from each other\, and of course – have fun! There are no fees because the organisers only provide the boundary conditions of the meeting by setting the time and date and by reserving an area on the campground. Other than that\, everybody is self supporting\, free and self responsible. Kringelfieber is an event by paddlers and for paddlers\, and it lives from the contribution of the participants. \nAt Kringelfieber several certified Freestyle instructors are present\, offering low rate courses and workshops in Canadian Style\, solo and tandem Freestyle. From mere beginners in Style Paddling all the way to those who want to work on their routine to music – there is something on offer for all levels. Private lessons are available on request. On the final evening there is a show by participants and instructors displaying the art of paddling with and without music\, and the Kringelfieber challenge trophy is passed on to its new owner. \nFreeranger Canoe will be present at Kringelfieber with our wooden canoes and paddles

DESCRIPTION:The Open Canoe Festival is the biggest rendezvous dedicated to canoe lovers from Europe’s four corners. 600 participants each year and 12 countries. \nDuring 3 days\, the charming village of Mirabel-et-Blacons (located between Lyon and Avignon\, 30 Km from Valence and the Rhône Valley) becomes the European Canoe capital. The Festival is organized in a charming 4 star campsite located on the bank of the Drôme river.
